When the Alzheimer’s Association approached Event 360 to help push its annual Walk to End Alzheimer's to its fundraising potential, we hit the ground running with a full-scale audit of its chapters’ past implementation of this nationwide walking event.
Our exhaustive one-one-one interviews and analysis of per capita registration, revenue and engagement metrics helped the Alzheimer's Association identify key benchmarks to realize the strongest performing walks of all sizes, and helped them realize their potential as a nationwide event. The Event 360 team worked with the Association to outline a comprehensive plan for leveraging the strongest chapters’ best practices across the organization. We helped potential growth chapters set new benchmarks. Event 360 made some staffing recommendations to support growth and properly execute plans while increasing return on investment.
In the first year of implementing our recommendations as well as additional initiatives, the Alzheimer's Association increased fundraising and participation numbers for the Walk program. Many chapters that chose to implement targeted benchmarks saw significant performance gains, with some walks growing in total revenue by as much as 200% and 25% of walks growing by 25% or more. The event saw a 15% total growth in fundraising, as well. Because the individual chapters were so involved in each step of the process, chapter participation has also shown amazing new strength with working together to challenge, motivate and help each other achieve new goals.
"After a year, we can see that the process is working. Our teams grew. Our online fundraising continued to grow at a rapid rate. We had our first million-dollar walk. And we know we still have an opportunity to continue that growth." - Lynn DeHoyos, Director of Constituent Relations, Alzheimer's Association
