Event 360 To Produce Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure®.

20th annual 5K road race in nation's capital raises funds for breast cancer.

Event 360 has been selected by Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to handle all of the recruitment, fundraising, event planning, volunteer management and production aspects of the headquarter's largest national event, the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure.

Held every June in Washington D.C., the Komen Global Race for the Cure, formerly known as the Susan G. Komen National Race for the Cure, will undergo a major overhaul for the 20th annual event in 2009. Event 360 has been chosen to lead the way in renewing, revitalizing and internationalizing this event for the more than 50,000 runners and walkers who participate each year. Working alongside Event 360 on this project will be Radarworks, the marketing agency of record for the Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure, handling branding, media and messaging.

"Event 360's success in building the Breast Cancer 3-Day, their industry leading event planning and execution, track record of analyzing and improving fundraising results and strong knowledge of our organization were all important factors in our selection," said Emily Callahan, managing director of marketing communications for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. "The bidding process was competitive but Event 360's understanding of the opportunities to grow and expand this event along with their comprehensive plan truly stood out."
