Have you ever wondered about the power of a blog?  I mean, have you stopped, and taken the time to really think about blogging as a social media platform, and how you can make it work for you?

The ONE Campaign has.  ONE is a grassroots campaign and advocacy organization committed to the fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa.  They have commited significant time and manpower to their blog, and in doing so, they have created an active, living presence on the web that is constantly working to spread their message.  It is like having a daily magazine dedicated to your cause that has taken on a life of its own to grow and thrive at will.

Much more than simply throwing up blog posts, ONE Campaign uses every inch of space available to them to share their message and present opportunities that reiterate the good they have done.

From this one central location, potential donors can learn more about ONE Campaign and the activities they are involved in.  They can share the message via TwitterFacebook or MySpace, find out about current nonprofit fundraising events and access the ONE Campaign store.  It is like a vibrant, living hub of activity that allows ONE Campaign to stay in constant contact with their donors.

And it all started with a simple blog.
