Autism Society of America

To further its mission of improving the lives of all affected by autism and launch a new cause marketing partnership with Pump It Up, the Autism Society of America (ASA) sought to kick off a new fundraising event series in Spring 2008.  The organization called upon Event 360 to design a concept that could be easily implemented by ASA chapters and Pump It Up franchisees in six cities – Portland, OR, Chicago, IL, Bethesda, MD, The Woodlands, TX, Irvine, CA and Bentonville, AR.

Solution

Event 360 created Bounce for Autism – an event enabling children and adults to form a “Sock Squad” and bounce up a storm on gigantic inflatables at a nearby Pump It Up location. Participants raise funds for ASA’s advocacy and education efforts.

Results

The first wave of Bounce for Autism events achieved huge successes within a compressed time frame. Event 360 created a “franchise toolkit” to help chapters capitalize on this success and roll out a new cause marketing partnership with Pump It Up, which boasts 175 locations nationwide. Currently, there are more than 30 Bounces for Autism scheduled for April, 2009.
